Legacy Valley Events & Rentals

When hosting your event with us at Legacy Valley, we want things to go as smoothly as possible and to meet all of your expectations. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.

Initial Deposit

To reserve a date at Legacy Valley, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the event. Payments can be made by credit card, cash, or check.

Cancellations

Cancelations made 60 days prior to the event will be allowed.

Inclement Weather

If there is inclement weather such as a tornado, flood or other disastrous event, we will give a full refund. We will not cancel or offer refunds for rain. Rain actually makes for some beautiful photo opportunities.

Insurance Coverage

We strongly suggest wedding insurance to cover any expenses relating to the postponement of changes on your wedding day. Some companies that provide insurance:

Ask them about coverage for day of inclement weather.

Wedding Coordinator Policy

Because we want to ensure that you and your guests have the best experience possible, we do require that you hire a professional coordinator. It will be one of the best investments you make for your wedding day.

BYO Liquor

We allow guests to bring their own alcohol to their event. To accommodate this means that guests will need to ensure that they have adequate insurance and liability coverage to cover any damage or accidents that may occur as a result of consuming alcohol.

It is crucial for you, the renter, to understand that as the event organizer, Legacy Valley is not liable for any damages or injuries brought about by your guests and visitors consuming alcohol. The renter is held liable to make sure you are protected in case of any injury, death, or damage to people or property.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for all attendees.

We offer liquor packages for an additional cost.

Event Liquor License

If you would like to serve alcohol at your event, a one-time liquor license can be secured for your event date. The current fee for a one-time liquor license is $90, and can be secured by Legacy Valley on your behalf for your event. License fee will be added to your total invoice. Cabin Rental

We have 3 wonderful cabins that can accommodate up to 20 people (total). They are also a convenient place for the wedding party to get ready.

Parking and Shuttle Service

There is minimum parking at Legacy Valley Event site. Depending on the size of your party, you may want to consider adding on our shuttle service. The service will provide transportation to and from the Beattyville School parking lot, where your cars can safely be parked.

State Taxes

The state of Kentucky does charge a 6% sales tax on rentals and services.

We want you to be able to use vendors of your choice, but we highly encourage you to consider some of our recommended vendors.
