A scheduled tour with Legacy Valley Events will include walking the grounds and visiting the barn. If the cabins are not occupied by guests, we will be happy to let you look inside. You will be able to get an idea of the size of our property along with the location of the Kentucky River, fire pits, pond, and outdoor games. While touring the grounds we will be happy to answer any questions you may have to help in making the decision if Legacy Valley Events will be the right choice for your event. Tours usually take 30-60 minutes.

We do have a wonderful Officiant to perform wedding ceremonies if needed. He will add an unforgettable touch of charm to your special day. The cost is $150.

We do require Liability Insurance of $1,000,000. It is to protect you and your guests in the event of an injury or property damage during your event. The cost for a one-time purchase of liability insurance is usually around $200. A copy of your liablity certificate can be emailed to us at events@legacyvalleyky.com.

Because we want to ensure that you and your guests have the best experience possible, we do require that you hire a professional coordinator. It will be one of the best investments you make for your wedding day.

We have 3 wonderful cabins that can accommodate up to 20 people. They are also a convenient place for the wedding party to get ready.

There is minimal parking at Legacy Valley Event site. Depending on the size of your party you may want to consider adding on our shuttle service. The service will provide transportation to and from the Beattyville School parking lot, where your cars can safely be parked.

Cancelations made 60 days prior to the event will be allowed, with a refund of half of the 50% deposit.

If there is inclement weather such as a tornado, flood or other disastrous event we will give a full refund. We will not cancel or offer refunds for rain. Rain actually makes for some beautiful photo opportunities.

We strongly suggest wedding insurance to cover any expenses relating to the postponement of changes on your wedding day. Some companies that provide insurance www.wedsure.com, www.wedsafe.com , www.eventhelper.com ask them about coverage for day of inclement weather.

We recommend scheduling a consultation and tour of our grounds through our website. Once you have made the decision to celebrate your event with us, we require a signed contract with our venue policies and a non-refundable 50% deposit. The remaining payment is due 30 days prior to the event.

Each package includes the event site from 8:00am – 12:00am, unless adding on The Legacy Event or Full Retreat cabin packages, (which we highly recommend). We are happy to discuss customizations as available for allotted time access to the venue.

Yes, you are welcomed to bring your own decorations upon our approval. We do ask that rice, birdseed, glitter, confetti and fireworks not be used.

We have a curfew for music to end at 11:00pm, however the length of your party is up to you.

Currently we do not have specific accessible areas, but we do have plans to add accessible areas in the near future. Our event site is mostly flat, grassy areas.

Children 5 and over will be counted as guests.

We do not permit bringing your own alcohol. We have a liquor license and several alcohol packages to conveniently choose from. If we find outside alcohol being brought onto the event site there will be a fine.

Smoking is allowed outdoors in designated areas only. Please make sure your guests are respectful of our grounds by not throwing cigarette butts on the ground.

Yes, Legacy Valley is pet friendly. There is a $25 charge per pet for the venue. If you plan to stay in our cabins there is an additional pet fee per cabin.

Our event packages include the venue site, barn, premium restroom trailer, wedding arch and signs on the road. Tables, chairs, tent, and shuttle service can be added on for additional costs. We have a wonderful list of vendors to consider for catering, photography, flowers, etc. We are always welcomed to helping customize and help your event to be a sure success. Please never hesitate to ask with questions or ideas to enhance the event!

Regarding inclement weather, Legacy Valley Events are held rain or shine - but if severe weather is forecasted for your event day, you will need to reschedule your event within 7 days of your original booking date. Please see our cancellation and rescheduling policy here.
