Even though we may be the newbies on the block in the wedding and event venue arena, you should know this is not our first "rodeo". We all have classic backgrounds and impressive resumes to share with you all. The combination of our experiences and expertise is sure to make for an amazing venue opportunity for hosting your wedding, reunion, party, retreat, and celebrations of all varieties.
The McGee’s have a long history in Lee County/Beattyville. Bill’s mom, Frieda Cornelius was born and raised here in a holler - with no running water or electricity. When Bill and Hillary hosted the Cornelius family reunion 5 years ago, they fell in love with the beauty all over again. They ended up buying the 2 cabins they rented and just finished building their 3rd. They have also purchased the old elementary school in downtown Beattyville to repurpose. “We are Eastern Ky/Appalachia proud!”
Both Bill and Hillary have extensive experience in group events and the outdoors. They both were youth pastors for years and led many wilderness trips to CO and camping all over. They know how to plan creative experiences for large and small groups. They would love to help you with your event.
They have 2 grown children. Their daughter is an avid outdoorswoman and lives in CO. Their son lives in Nashville and is on staff with Young Life Nashville Capernaum which is their special needs ministry.
Patrick and Terra Boone moved to Louisville 5 years ago after living in Salt Lake City, Utah for more than 25 years. Patrick, a Louisville native, and Terra, a Michigander - met working at Snowbird Ski Resort. The two of them ran, operated, and grew a thriving landscape/design company called Outdoor Enhancements. The majority of their clients were in the Park City area, and the projects completed were true works of art. Patrick created tranquil water features, subtle yet sturdy retaining walls, ornate stone slab patios and backyard kitchen areas. The fairytale landscaping he provided for his clients was always one of a kind.
In the off season of landscaping, besides skiing and snowboarding, Patrick and Terra began traveling and visiting the Republic of Panama. They would spend 3 months at a time exploring and enjoying the culture and beauty of Panama. After a few years of hosting friends and family on adventures in Panama they decided to start their own Eco friendly tourism business. Patrick and Terra are proud parents of a 15 yr. old son, and a 13 yr. old daughter. As the kids were growing older, Patrick and Terra decided to make a change and move closer to family. Now residing in Louisville, they are ready to encroach on a new chapter of their lives, utilizing what they have learned from past endeavors to help create a magical place for people to enjoy in Legacy Valley.
